MISSION STATEMENT:
The All-Party Parliamentary Group for the UK Armed Forces Community is dedicated to recognising the unique needs of the Armed Forces Community and will work to ensure the prominence of the needs of the serving population, their families, veterans and the bereaved in the political agenda and to secure policy improvements to meet these needs.
The Group will aim to work closely with parliamentarians, cross-party or across the political spectrum, to ensure they understand the issues affecting the Armed Forces Community and provide them with opportunities to deliver better outcomes for this Community.

SCOPE:
The APPG will identify issues which impact members of the Armed Forces community, including those who have served and their families.
The Group expects to:
​
• Consider the needs of the whole Armed Forces community, including the families of veterans, the bereaved and Serving personnel
​​
• Identify research to aid Parliament in understanding the issues affecting the Armed Forces Community, including families, and considering proposed solutions
​​
• Centre members of the armed forces community and their voices in research and policy recommendations
​​
• Ensure relevant departments are engaged (Ministry of Defence, Cabinet Office, Department for Health and Social Care, Department of Work and Pensions, Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government)

• Work with a range of charities in the Armed Forces Community sector
