Last Friday, I was invited to Father Neil's Supper Club. It was lovely to catch up with local residents over dinner, with plenty of good food and good company. Thank you to Father Neil and everyone involved for such a warm welcome!

Hello folks! This week it was great to pop by the Wanstead Fringe and chat to performers and organisers. This weekend: Wanstead Kinema returns on the 12th – an outdoor cinema for families. The Kinema will be showing Zootropolis 2 at Wanstead Cricket Club.

It was great to meet with Waltham Forest's Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) team to hear about their important work supporting women and girls across our borough.

Last Friday, I held a pop-up surgery outside Aldi and M&S. Many people stopped to raise concerns and ask for support with a range of issues affecting them and their families. Thank you to everyone who took the time to come and speak with me.

I had a great summer’s evening recently visiting Wanstead Cricket Club to learn about their community initiatives and the opportunities for young people to get involved.

A pleasure to meet with London Councils in a sunny Leytonstone, the organisation that represents all of London’s Boroughs. The Government’s devolution agenda has significant potential for London and our local councils, with more powers and resources flowing closer to our communities. London’s governance system is unique, and this is something that needs to be considered to maximise the benefits of devolution.

Great to join Cllr Aisha Abubakar for a community coffee morning in Cathall. We heard directly from local parents about the impact of rising summer temperatures on our schools, including George Tomlinson School, and the brilliant efforts already underway locally to adapt to this. We also talked about opportunities for young people in the area, and what more can be done to support them.

Great to have opened this year's Leytonstone Arts Trail this summer. For two weeks, artists across Leytonstone opened their doors, studios, living rooms, cafes, shop windows and garden sheds, to share their work with our neighbourhood.

Really enjoyed the South Woodford Summer Festival last Sunday! Lovely to catch up with Rena, Chair of the South Woodford Society, and to hear the local choir Bloom perform - a real showcase of the talent and community spirit we have here in the constituency.

What a brilliant day at the Leyton Jumble Trail! Streets full of neighbours out chatting, browsing, and getting to know each other, all while raising money for local food banks. Utterly wonderful to see this kind of community spirit in Leyton.

Really brilliant to join the Repair Cafe at Christ Church Halls in Wanstead on 11th July where I could put my sewing skills to good use and meet constituents committed to repairing and reusing in our community.

Fantastic to be at the Leytonstone Ex-Servicemen's Club on Sunday for the unveiling of a brand new mural celebrating 150 years of the Pearly Kings and Queens tradition!

I recently visited the food bank at Woodford Baptist Church, in partnerships with the Redbridge Food bank, the Trussell Trust and Citizens Advice Bureau. A huge thank you to all the volunteers who make this possible, your compassion and dedication are inspiring.

A pleasure to join the second ever Redbridge Pride event at Redbridge Town Hall last weekend – lots of great activities and community organisations from right across the Borough taking part!

Yesterday I visited Noor Ul Islam Mosque alongside the police, following Tuesday's deeply distressing incident outside the mosque. I want to thank the police for their swift response, and pay tribute to the members of the public who stepped in at the time.

Lovely to visit Wanstead Community Riding Stables, who provide not only access to nature for the whole of East London but apprenticeships for our community and work experience for our local schools.

It’s always a pleasure to return to St Margaret with St Columba Church in Leytonstone, where I joined the team helping out at their weekly foodbank - a vital service for local families, run by dedicated volunteers week in, week out.
