I had a great summer’s evening recently visiting Wanstead Cricket Club to learn about their community initiatives and the opportunities for young people to get involved.

Great to be at Wanstead High School to congratulate staff and students on their excellent results.I spoke with the headteacher about how I can provide further support, including the latest situation with the pool. I also met with Cllr Emma Shepherd Mallinson, and we have arranged to meet council leaders to understand how a new contractor will be appointed.

Awesome to meet with Lenz, the CEO of East London’s London Lions this week! Great to see how the Mayor’s London Basketball Taskforce is backing the team and helping grow the sport across our communities.

Leyton Orient has signed a memorandum of understanding with Waltham Forest Council to explore a new world-class stadium and multi-sport campus in East London. This vision has the potential to bring so much to Leyton and Wanstead - better facilities for fans, new jobs and training opportunities for local residents, more affordable homes, and a boost for our high streets. This is really exciting news for our constituency!
