Christ Church - Wanstead Parish Ongoing Repairs Question

Christ Church in Wanstead contributes to our community in so many ways but sadly has some ongoing repair issues that need attention. The tower requires significant work to address the dangerous risk of stone falls, but this will cost £2m.

I had the opportunity to raise this in Parliament, arguing for recognition of the impact of changes to a scheme that reimburses Listed Places of Worship for VAT costs. My colleague Marsha de Cordova MP, who is the Second Church Estates Commissioner, rightly praised the work that Wanstead Parish - St Mary with Christ Church does in reply and will write to me with details of further grant schemes that I hope will be of use in addressing this challenge.
