Prostate cancer early diagnosis speech

I took a moment last week to talk about the impact of prostate cancer. Early diagnosis is crucial, but alarmingly at Barts Hospital Trust for example, 17% of men with prostate cancer are diagnosed only at Stage 4. This statistic highlights a pressing need to reduce late-stage diagnoses both locally and nationwide.

Not everyone faces the same risks when it comes to prostate cancer, Black men are 2.5 times more likely to die from prostate cancer than white men, despite having higher diagnosis rates. Improving access to treatment is just as crucial as early diagnosis.
