Step-free access for Leyton Tube station

I joined Waltham Forest Councillors, Deputy Mayor for Transport Seb Dance, and Local Transport Minister Simon Lightwood for the announcement of the upgrade to Leyton Tube station this week. Leyton station is being made step-free for the first time – improving accessibility for thousands of passengers.

The upgrade will also bring a larger ticket hall, new lifts, staircases, and an overbridge. Work starts on 17th February and I pleased this project will improve connectivity, supporting our local community and economy.
