Yesterday in Leyton, we held a tournament for our young people to come together, play football, learn about the diverse stories in our national team, and raise our voices for England’s success.

We’ve learned about how many England players past and present have connections here in East London as well as links to places all over the world.
Fantastic teams joined from six of our local schools - George Mitchell, Mayville, Newport, Noor Ul Islam, Riverley, St Joseph's, and Willow Brook, for a friendly 6-a-side competition involving 60 brilliant participants. Special congratulations to Willow Brook for winning our mini tournament, and George Mitchell, our runners up!

This event has been months in the planning, and I’m so grateful to the O’s, Leyton Orient Trust and British Future for working with me and making it such a success.
Events like this show how England is for all of us who are proud of our home and our team.
