This week we’ve seen positive steps towards prostate cancer screening through a £20m package, including funding to enable all eligible Black men to be invited to the TRANSFORM trial alongside updated GP advice, and funding for less invasive treatments. This is real leadership from our Labour Government, helping to make up for a disappointing decision from the National Screening Committee.
Sadly, Reform have chosen divisive race-baiting in response, which is a despicable pattern over recent days. I asked the Prime Minister to oppose Reform’s nonsense and stand with the men and their families at greatest risk from this terrible disease.
