Rail Minister Meeting on Leyton Temple Mills and HS1

Just before Christmas, it was great to meet with Rail Minister Lord Hendy. 2025 had been a year of focused work to support the expansion of cross-Channel rail links, in which I have made the case for the role of Leyton’s Temple Mills depot in enabling growth.

As a result, we have a green light for investment that will create hundreds of high-skilled jobs, which I am working to link up with young people locally. There is a long way to go – major infrastructure projects are never simple or quick to deliver – but we’re on our way.
