Visit to Leyton’s Temple Mills Depot

After working so much on cross-channel rail and Leyton’s Temple Mills depot this year, it was high time I actually visited!

Grace Williams, leader of London Borough of Waltham Forest, joined me on a very in-depth and compelling visit to the depot.

We really should shout more about the essential role Temple Mills plays in maintaining every single cross-Channel train journey, as well as the exciting growth agenda that will deliver more high-quality jobs for local people.

This is something for our local community to be very proud of, just as I am proud of the role I’ve played in delivering commitments to invest from Eurostar and Virgin.

There’s a long way to go before we realise the full potential of Temple Mills, and I hope further depot expansion plans will be announced soon. I’ll keep working to ensure this is achieved.
