It’s always a pleasure to return to St Margaret with St Columba Church in Leytonstone, where I joined the team helping out at their weekly foodbank - a vital service for local families, run by dedicated volunteers week in, week out.
This visit I was struck by the 42 flags hanging in the church, one for every language spoken by the congregation. In the period between Pentecost and the Patronal Festival, the church is celebrating this extraordinary diversity, and it’s a beautiful thing to see.
Thank you as always to everyone at St Margaret with St Columba for the warm welcome and for everything you do for the Leytonstone community.
