World Book Day

It’s important to celebrate World Book Day today. Books can empower and open doors. But data shows that a quarter of boys say they enjoy reading in their free time, compared with 39% of girls, contributing to stark disparities in educational progression.

I’m proud to be part of the Labour Group for Men and Boys, who are working with Boys’ Impact and Go All In to shine a light on these issues in Leyton and Wanstead and across the country.
