What a whirlwind Labour Conference! It was wonderful to catch up with so many excellent colleagues and friends at Labour Conference, including too many inspiring conversations to count! My diary highlights included:

Five years on, it is the people we remember most. The families separated. The lives changed forever. And the extraordinary courage of those who worked around the clock to bring people to safety in the most difficult circumstances.

It is an honour to be reappointed Minister for Veterans and People by our new Prime Minister, and to form part of Wes Streeting’s new team as Defence Secretary. I will continue to give my all in service to those who sacrifice in our defence – servicepeople, families, and veterans.

I am honoured to have been appointed Minister for Veterans and People at the Ministry of Defence. I am honoured to have been appointed Minister for Veterans and People at the Ministry of Defence, and ultimately to become your Member of Parliament. I have never forgotten that opportunity, and I am completely committed to serving those who have given so much to our country and our community.
