Cuckooing Update

You may have seen recent reporting on “cuckooing,” where criminals take over vulnerable people’s homes for illegal activity. This has been a serious concern in parts of our community, and I’m pleased a specific offence is being introduced to tackle it, something I have supported and raised with the Policing Minister previously.


Clear guidance for police is coming soon, which will strengthen enforcement. I remain committed to working with our police and councils to address drug-related crime and antisocial behaviour locally.
