Hello everyone, many of you will know that Wanstead’s War Memorial is in urgent need of repair. Father James Gilder has launched a fundraising effort to restore it in time for this year’s Remembrance Sunday.
The memorial includes the names of the fallen from both world wars and Royal Marine Thomas Curry, who was killed in Afghanistan.
Around £5,000 is needed to complete the work, and every contribution will help ensure that we can honour those who gave their lives with the dignity and respect they deserve. You can read about the repairs needed here: https://www.wansteadparish.org/784/War-Memorial-Restoration
If you are able to support, please do, together we can restore this important memorial for our community and future generations. 👉https://gofund.me/764280b5a
