Thanks to all the Wanstead businesses, councillors, Met officers, and council staff who joined our recent high street forum. It was an honest and constructive discussion about how we tackle crime and anti-social behaviour locally.
Business owners spoke clearly about the challenges they’re facing - from shoplifting to vandalism - and I’m glad the police and council were there to listen and respond.
👉 If you’re a resident or business owner, I’d encourage you to connect with your local police team via Met Engage, it’s a great way to share concerns and shape policing in your area: metengage.co.uk
👉 You can also report ASB directly to Redbridge Council here: https://my.redbridge.gov.uk/reportit/anti-social-behaviour
👉 And don’t forget, the next Wanstead Village Ward Panel is on Wednesday 3rd September, 7–8pm at Wanstead House. These meetings are a valuable space to raise local concerns and hear directly from police.
