As we move into March, I'm looking back on a busy February, from transport improvements to health discussions and school visits, here’s a snapshot of what I've been up to 👇
▪️Gathered evidence from residents experiencing difficulties with RMG and Rendall & Rittner (R&R), particularly at Coronation Square in Leyton. ✍️
▪️Attended a community meeting with the Cann Hall Safer Neighbourhoods Team.
▪️Met with the TSSA union to discuss issues faced by transport workers. 🚆
▪️Heard from national experts at the Prostate Cancer APPG. 👨⚕️
▪️Met with Selby Road residents affected by ASB and drug use.
▪️Joined Waltham Forest Councillors on a Regeneration Tour in Leytonstone, visiting key locations needing infrastructure improvements. 🌳
▪️Attended a meeting focused on changes to the W13, W14, and W15 bus routes.
▪️Met with key NHS stakeholders, MPs, Councillors and the Whipps Cross Redevelopment Team to discuss the Whipps Cross Redevelopment Programme. 🏥
▪️Visited George Tomlinson School, meeting with the headteacher and senior leadership team, and participating in a Q&A session with students. 🧑🎓
▪️Visited Holy Trinity in Leytonstone spoke with Vicar Polly.
▪️Spoke at a Cambridge University event on Ukraine’s defence and implications for allies. 🏛️
▪️Met with HS1 reps to discuss plans for increased connectivity with European partners and growth opportunities for Leyton Mills. 🇪🇺
▪️Visited Estonia and Finland with the Defence Select Committee.
▪️Continued working to resolve cladding issues at Johnston Court in Leyton. 🛠️
▪️Spoke in the Parliamentary debate on Ukraine. 🇺🇦
▪️Joined Waltham Forest Councillors, the Deputy Mayor for Transport, and the Local Transport Minister for the announcement of major upgrades to Leyton Underground Station. 🚉
▪️Spoke in Parliament on the Police Grants and antisocial behaviour and criminality locally. 🚨
