From International Women’s Day events to roundtables for SEND parents and teachers, it was a busy March across the constituency and beyond. Now that April is here, I wanted to share a snapshot of what I’ve been up to over the past month 👇

👭 Spoke in the International Women’s Day Debate

🚀 Attended the Space Expo at the ExCeL Centre with UK Space
🏫 Visited Leytonstone School and met with the Headteacher
🎗️ Chaired the Prostate Cancer APPG
🚆 Met with Glynn Bellman and the TfL Veterans Association
🍎 Visited Aldersbrook Primary School with Cllr Emma Shepherd-Mallinson
📺 Appeared on BBC Politics Live to discuss the Iran war
📚 Joined the Deputy Mayor at Lea Bridge Library to meet Waltham Forest Migrant Action
💚 Visited Samaritans Waltham Forest
🪖 Contributed to a Defence Spending debate in Parliament
🗣️ Held in-person and online constituency surgeries
💪 Co‑chaired an Armed Forces Community APPG event with the Women in Defence APPG for International Women’s Day
🏛️ Met with the Armed Forces Pension Society
🥧 Dropped by the excellent Noted Eel and Pie Restaurant
🎙️ Appeared on BBC Sunday Politics Live
🕌 Visited Leyton Jamia Mosque to celebrate Eid
🩺 Called for new prostate cancer screening statements
🤝 Joined the Iftar at No.10
🚄 Met with Lord Hendy to discuss rail
🇬🇦 Hosted the Foreign Minister of Gabon for a roundtable in Parliament
🛰️ Held a meeting with other MPs to discuss Space Strategy
🔧 Supported the local Repair Café as they hosted an event in Parliament
🇸🇩 Joined the Sudan APPG meeting with Jenny Chapman MP and Anneliese Dodds MP
⚡ Raised a question on EV charging points locally during Transport Questions
👨🏫 Hosted SEND Roundtables for Redbridge and Waltham Forest Teachers
📵 Participated in the Nightingale School Smartphone‑Free Childhood drop-in with Cllr Jo Blackman
🕊️ Met with Syrian refugees to better understand their experiences under Waltham Forest’s Borough of Sanctuary policy
