Roundtable on battery fires and electrical safety

Last week I joined a parliamentary roundtable on the growing risk of lithium-ion battery fires in waste and recycling. Battery fires are rising sharply and pose real dangers to workers, services and the environment.

It was good to discuss practical solutions with colleagues, including Cllr Clyde Loakes, to improve safe disposal and reduce risks!
