This week I have been in Gabon, one of the most climate critical and nature-rich countries in the world, representing the UK as our Trade Envoy to Southern Africa. The engagement I had was so valuable, highlighting the huge opportunities for progress on shared objectives that centre on green economic growth.

Trade Envoy Visit to Gabon

January marks a year since my appointment as the UK’s Trade Envoy for Southern Africa. Over the past year, I have undertaken visits to Angola, DRC, Mozambique, and Zambia, engaging with Presidents, Ministers, High Commissioners and Ambassadors from across the region, to break down barriers to the trade and investment needed to meet our shared growth and security goals.
