Visit JobsPlus on the Beaumont Estate

It was great to visit JobsPlus on the Beaumont Estate in Leyton and see first-hand how a community-led approach to employment support is transforming lives.

JobsPlus are working in partnership with L&Q and other housing associations in social housing communities, bringing together one-to-one employment support, skills training, confidence-building and local partnerships - all delivered in the heart of the neighbourhood. It’s designed to reach people facing complex barriers to work, including parents and carers, young people, residents with long-term health conditions and those who may not engage with mainstream services.

Since launching, JobsPlus in Leyton has already helped residents move into work and sustain employment, while also strengthening confidence, wellbeing and community pride.

This kind of long-term, locally rooted support is exactly what’s needed to tackle economic inactivity and create real opportunity in communities like ours. Huge thanks to the JobsPlus team and partners for the warm welcome and the vital work they’re doing every day.
