Yesterday in Parliament, I spoke about how we can do more to help young people get into education, work, or training locally.
I asked the Minister what’s being done to make sure opportunities, like those from new technical colleges and V Levels, are genuinely open to everyone.
When I went to college, I was lucky to have proper wraparound support, things like help with travel costs and relocation assistance, which meant that, as someone from a working-class background, I could actually access the opportunities available to me.
In our constituency, we have so many brilliant students with STEM skills, and it’s vital that young people in areas like Leyton and Wanstead aren’t left behind.
