Monthly Roundup: November 2025

It's December...and that means it's time for my monthly roundup of November! From pedalling hard in the RBL Poppy Ride to chatting about space and security, here is some of what I got up to last month 🚲👇

◾Participated in five Remembrance Day events across South Woodford, Leyton, Leytonstone, Wanstead, and Snaresbrook

◾Visited Temple Mills Depot with the leader of Waltham Forest council, Grace Williams 🚅

◾Met with the owner of the Northcote Arms Pub 🍺

◾Met with Darren Jones on renters' rights and housing

◾Visited the Volunteer Police Cadets in Redbridge 🚨

◾Spoke at the opening Parliamentary Garden of Remembrance

◾Attended the community business awards at Maximus Leytonstone 🏆

◾Hosted an Armed Forces APPG drop-in on veterans' employment

◾Met with staff at the German embassy on European security 🇩🇪

◾Spoke to the 21st Cubs in Aldersbrook for Parliament Week

◾Biked in the RBL Poppy Ride but sadly did not win 🚴‍♂️

◾Met with Creative Engagement Services during their patrol in Waltham Forest

◾Hosted a roundtable event with UKSpace on the NAD Space Portfolio 🚀

◾Attended the London housebuilding debate in Westminster Hall and spoke on social housing 🏘️

◾Met the Angolan Secretary of State for Public Investment to talk trade and investment

◾Met with British Future to talk about tackling the far-right 💬

◾Presented at the London Air Cadet Squadron town night ✈️

◾Engaged with colleagues following the Sudan and Gaza statement

◾Visited Downsell School for UK Parliament Week 👩🏿‍🏫

◾Organised a joint meeting with all the Cancer All Party Parliamentary Groups

◾Met with Astroscale to talk UK Space strategy

◾ Met with students from Leyton Sixth Form 🎓

◾Spoke in the Armed Forces debate for Remembrance 🪖

◾Spoke at a Coalition for Global Prosperity event on partnership with Africa

◾Spoke on the Northern Ireland Troubles Bill

◾Joined the School Council at Wanstead High School and met with kitchen staff

◾Raised a question about Leyton Temple Mills in Transport questions 🚉

◾Gave opening remarks at an IPPR China and Geopolitics Roundtable

◾Attended an APPG for HIV and Aids drop-in on the HIV Action Plan 💊

◾Met with the British Council on their work in Africa

◾Visited George Mitchell School for UK Parliament Week 📚

◾Met with Eddy, the son of John Smythe, to talk about his father's heroism and connection to the Empire Windrush 🇬🇧

◾Co-wrote the Defence Select Committee statement on the so-called Ukraine Peace plan

◾Visited Newport Primary School for UK Parliament Week 🗳

◾Joined the 50th anniversary celebrations of Angolan independence 🇦🇴

◾Visited the Prostate Cancer Research Lab at Imperial College London 🔬

◾Attended a No. 10 event for International Men’s Day

◾Gave a speech on Prostate Cancer screening for International Men’s Day 💙

◾Supported Centrepoint’s campaign to change how the benefits system is structured for young people in supported accommodation 🏠

◾Hosted an Armed Forces APPG event on military compensation and benefits

◾Held a coffee morning in Wanstead to talk to local residents and councillors

◾Visited the East London Boxing Academy in Leyton and met their young boxers

◾Spoke at the Google Digital Skills Shed event for small businesses in Leyton ⌨
